Meet My Mom Conceição Costa
A retired public health social worker based in João Pessoa, Brazil, my mom (66) found in art a sanctuary for her emotions and a source of quality of life. Her hands, which spent decades dedicated to caring for others, now give life to vibrant oil canvases, delicate crochet, and intricate patchwork, as her retired life beautifully merges into nuances of color, texture, and form.
